Innovative Learning

KCL operates a hub-and-spoke model, combining structured education, life skills, and therapeutic support in real-world and alternative settings.

For young people aged 16-25 years with complex needs, autism, learning disabilities, and those not engaging in mainstream schooling.

Programme: Understanding How to Grow Fruit and Vegetables 
In Partnership With: Woodoaks Farm, Ricky’s Fruit and Forest Farm

Practical, land-based learning for learners with an interest in the outdoors. Delivered in partnership with real working farms, this unit introduces key skills in planting, growing, and harvesting fruit and vegetables.

Boxing Clever – Strength, Focus, and Resilience

KCL learners benefit from access to Boxing Clever, a specialist programme using non-contact boxing, mentoring and resilience-building to help young people manage emotions, boost self-discipline, and develop positive physical routines.

Normally students are admitted to our alternative provision, via mainstream schools or the council.
